A re-invigorating and inspiring workplace
City Holdings — Mulgrave, VIC
We were engaged to design the Coles Business Support Centre for City Holdings at 10 Nexus Court, Mulgrave. This was an exciting move for City as they identified their previous space as cluttered, cramped, inefficient and disorganised. The new building at 10 Nexus Court offered an opportunity to re-invigorate the business through a brief focusing on a sophisticated, fun and inspiring interior.
The Ground Floor and arrival / landing space creates an immediate first impression through the large, bespoke timber reception desk. This area also includes large multifunction meeting and training spaces for staff and visitors alike. Levels 1-3 are linked through an interconnecting stair which provides visibility through the floors creating greater unification across the different business units.
There are shared facilities of tea points and utilities across the floors with one large, inviting kitchen / breakout area driving greater interaction and collaboration. We worked with Coles’ workplace standards and City prioritised sit to stand desking across the organisation and an emphasis on wellness is further realised through a large amount of planting and improved air quality.
Both Coles and City are delighted with the outcome which was achieved within a tight budget and timeframe.
